Galaxy Blues

Expelled from the Union Astronautica and facing theft charges, Jules Truffant takes a job as a shuttle pilot on the freighter Pride of Cucamonga for a chance at amnesty. After a disastrous mission that angers an alien culture, he embarks on a critical journey across the galaxy to position a probe in the path of a black hole threatening an inhabited star system. Author Allen Steele provides a bonus introduction discussing the lighthearted tone of "Galaxy Blues."
