In the sequel to "Bound," Alex Caine is attempting to rebuild his life with his Kin girlfriend, Silhouette, when he is drawn into a covert mission to prevent a catastrophic future predicted by Seers. Meanwhile, Claude Darvill embarks on a search for his missing father, who was last seen pursuing Alex. Concurrently, a group of amateur mages inadvertently unleash ancient magic, transporting themselves and Alex's party to a mysterious city ruled by monstrous beings. Together, they must navigate this strange realm and devise a way to escape Obsidian.
