In "Laddertop," 11-year-old Robbi embarks on critical maintenance work at the mysterious Laddertop station, aided by her mentally linked robot companions and a team of elite children. As she experiences urgent dreams from the Givers, the alien creators of their technology, her best friend Azure transitions from an outcast to a key player in a secret rebel mission questioning the Givers' true intentions. Their separate journeys intertwine as they decode an alien message and delve into an ancient mystery that could either protect Earth or bring about its destruction.
