In the second book of the Arcane Ascension series, adventurers Nieve and Hane are forced to navigate both personal loss and external threats as they join a new delving group on their ascent of Tiger Spire. Aiming to uncover the elusive Vault of Shadows, they are guided by Odette, an Analyst, and joined by an eclectic team with varied magical abilities. Their journey takes a turn aboard a train carrying mysterious cargo, where they must decipher their mission while facing the notorious thief known as the Magpie and the formidable Controller, Sa’rhi Nereux. As they confront greater dangers within the spire, Nieve seeks camaraderie, while Hane wrestles with his emotional distance, complicating their quest.
