In a summer filled with intrigue in the seaside town of Skegness, Sam Applewhite grapples with life's challenging questions, including her living situation with her dad in a tiny caravan and the mysterious local company Synergenesis. As a seemingly innocent stuffed kangaroo toy called Joey Pockets becomes the focal point of desperation, Sam must navigate a world where thieves and killers seek hidden treasure, all while racing against time to uncover the truth before those she loves are jeopardized.
