Red Tide

Red Tide, inspired by Larry Niven's 1973 novella Flash Crowd, explores the societal effects of instantaneous teleportation, allowing humans to travel vast distances in mere milliseconds. Adding depth to Niven's original concepts, younger authors Brad R. Torgersen and Mathew J. Harrington join him in examining the implications of such technology on human behavior and society. This collaboration expands on themes Niven has explored throughout his career, including in his acclaimed work Ringworld and his essay on teleportation.
