M.I.S.S.I.S.S.I.P.P.I.

"M.I.S.S.I.S.S.I.P.P.I." is an open letter from a native Mississippian, reflecting on their experiences of leaving home for graduate school and a career in corporate America. As they explore Black history through autobiographies of iconic figures, they gain deeper insights into their home state, challenging external perceptions influenced by media. Framed as a child writing to their mother from afar, the narrative explores a growing understanding and emotional connection to Mississippi.
