Temperament: A novella

"Temperament" is a thought-provoking novella about Jon Finn, a former violinist who regains his hand, speech, and music through an experimental implant after a stroke. As he recovers, he begins to question whether the device is erasing more than just his disabilities, challenging notions of identity and selfhood. Written by a practicing physician, the story explores the quiet, unsettling consequences of medical intervention and the true cost of being made better.
