An elderly bookseller in Palestine shares his powerful story with a foreign photographer, illustrating how literature has offered him refuge and insight amidst the turmoil of his homeland. Through tales that span exile, activism, love, and loss, he reveals how books by authors like Kundera, Fanon, and Hemingway have helped him understand and endure life's hardships.
