The Last Test

"The Last Test" is a revised version by H. P. Lovecraft of Adolphe de Castro’s 1893 work, originally titled "A Sacrifice to Science." First published in Weird Tales Magazine in 1928, the story explores the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of a distinguished bacteriologist. It combines elements of intrigue and scientific curiosity, set within a haunting, atmospheric narrative.
