In a Race Everyone Runs Faster

In In a Race, Everyone Runs Faster, Josh Hunt examines alternative approaches to education reform, emphasizing the importance of school choice, accountability, and fostering talented teachers and strong leadership. Drawing lessons from Florida’s education policies and Singapore’s high-performing system, the book explores how competition and meaningful incentives can drive innovation and improvement in American schools. It advocates for giving teachers more autonomy, supporting effective discipline, and creating an environment where excellence is recognized and failure prompts change, ultimately arguing that competition can inspire progress in education.
