Shards of Earth

In Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Shards of Earth," a freelance salvage diver named Idris, whose mind has been remade after the war that destroyed Earth, stumbles upon a mysterious artifact linked to the vanished Architects, alien creators connected to humanity's past. As Idris and his crew race across the galaxy, they encounter various factions and seek answers about the Architects' true intentions, all while protecting a discovery of immense value. This high-octane space adventure explores themes of memory, obsolescence, and the quest for understanding in a vast, dangerous universe.
