Of Walking in Ice

This audiobook presents Werner Herzog’s profound meditation on life, death, and human perseverance through his 1974 journey on foot from Munich to Paris. Driven by a deep desire to support his ill mentor, Herzog embarked on a three-week pilgrimage, documenting his physical and emotional experiences along the way. Combining elements of a personal pilgrimage and reflective meditation, the work showcases Herzog’s introspective exploration and artistic spirit.
