The Teacher

This audiobook explores the remarkable life of Macrina the Younger, often overshadowed by her famous brother Basil the Great, yet a pivotal figure in shaping early Christian theology and monasticism. Born into a family of saints, she played a crucial role in redirecting Basil’s path toward faith and asceticism, directly influencing his legacy as a church leader and defender of Nicene orthodoxy. Despite her lack of formal titles or writings, Macrina's impact on the development of Christian doctrine and the Cappadocian Fathers' legacy remains profound and largely overlooked.
