The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Annotated)

This edition features the complete, unfinished manuscript of Charles Dickens’s last novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, presenting all twenty-three chapters as Dickens left them—ending with a small, satisfying gesture rather than an open-ended conclusion. Accompanied by a critical afterword exploring Dickens’s thematic focus on sound and echoes, along with a detailed biography, this volume offers readers an authentic glimpse into Dickens’s final work without any posthumous completions or solutions. It provides a rare, unaltered look at Dickens’s intended ending and invites curiosity about the enduring mystery he left behind.
