When high school graduate Jeremey Samson prepares to start college, his life is turned upside down by Emmet Washington, a witty and handsome young man with autism who expresses interest in dating him. As Jeremey struggles with his own untreated mental health issues and his parents’ dismissive attitudes, Emmet becomes a supportive presence, helping Jeremey navigate the complexities of friendship, self-acceptance, and love. Together, they discover that understanding and trust can foster healing and connection beyond their disabilities at a quirky assisted living facility called The Roosevelt.
