Death and the Maiden

Set in Vienna in 1903, the story revolves around the mysterious death of operatic diva Ida Rosenkrantz, initially presumed to be an overdose but with unsettling clues suggesting otherwise. Detective Inspector Oskar Rheinhardt enlists the help of psychoanalyst Dr. Max Liebermann to uncover the truth. As their investigation progresses, they face personal danger and uncover corruption at the highest levels of society.
