Bruno Johnson, a tough street cop turned ex-con, struggles with life on parole after a personal tragedy forces him to break the law. Despite challenges from law enforcement and a difficult past, he and his girlfriend Marie work together to help abused and neglected children, operating outside the bounds of the law. As they pursue their mission, they face dangerous opposition from a warped justice system and Bruno's former partner, who has his own sinister plans.
