Medieval Heroines in History and Legend

This series of 24 lectures explores the fascinating lives of four influential medieval women—Heloise, Hildegard of Bingen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and Joan of Arc—drawing on modern scholarship to shed new light on their roles and legacies. The course examines both legends and facts to deepen understanding of these historical figures and their impact on the Middle Ages, challenging long-held perceptions and highlighting the evolving interpretation of women's history.
