Death of a Cad

When Priscilla Halburton-Smythe hosts her engagement celebration in Lochdubh, the festivities are disrupted by the shocking murder of Captain Bartlett, a guest at the party. Constable Hamish Macbeth faces the challenging task of unraveling a web of motives among the many suspects, all of whom had reasons to despise the victim. As the investigation unfolds, Hamish also finds himself caught in a romantic dilemma, all while racing to identify the killer before they strike again.
