Aisling finally meets Rance in person after a year of talking, but their initial encounter takes a dangerous turn when she is nearly killed by a vampire hunter. Drawn into a mysterious world where vampires are real, she discovers that Rance isn't quite who he seems, and is soon entangled with Markus, who has his own plans for her.
