On a stunning winter day, Anders and his young daughter Maja are at a lighthouse on the island of Gåvasten, gazing out at the sea and the surrounding ice and snow. When Maja spots something in the distance and ventures out onto the ice, she suddenly disappears without a trace, leaving her parents devastated. Years later, Anders begins to receive mysterious messages that raise questions about Maja's fate.
