The Eye of the Reindeer

After being sent to Seili, a remote island in northern Finland, 13-year-old Ritva finds herself in a bleak environment filled with women labeled as "mad," but she feels she doesn't belong there. She makes a friend in Martta and together they embark on a daring escape across a frozen sea, leading to new encounters and the possibility of a fresh start. As Ritva begins to envision a different future, she must first seek out her sister and confront hidden family secrets.
