Women Talking

Women Talking is an imagined response to real events that took place in a remote Mennonite colony between 2005 and 2009, where women suffered brutal assaults they initially believed were caused by supernatural forces. In this story, eight illiterate women, unable to speak the local language or access the outside world, secretly meet in a hayloft to decide how to protect themselves and their daughters. With the men away in the city trying to secure the perpetrators' release, the women have two days to plan their next move.
