Two Days and One Suitcase

In 1945, twelve-year-old Helen Hannan volunteers to live in a prison camp where Japanese American families are detained due to racial prejudice and fear. As she experiences life behind barbed wire fences, Helen witnesses the harsh realities faced by those imprisoned, learns about the devastating effects of discrimination, and discovers the importance of standing up for what she believes is right. Through her journey, she forms new friendships and gains a deeper understanding of compassion and justice.
