Miracle in the Andes

On October 13, 1972, a Uruguayan rugby team's plane crashed in the Andes, stranding the survivors on a glacier at 11,000 feet with scarce supplies and extreme cold. Facing dire circumstances, some survivors resorted to extraordinary measures to stay alive, including a perilous ten-day trek in search of rescue. After enduring 72 days in the mountains, 16 individuals were eventually rescued.
