Jim and the Flims

"Jim and the Flims" is a novel set in Santa Cruz, CA, that explores themes of death and the afterlife through the signature quirky and cyberpunk style of Rudy Rucker. When Jim Oster creates a tunnel between the living world and the afterworld, he must confront personal grief and an invasion of mysterious entities called the Flims. Joined by a group of Santa Cruz punks, Jim ventures into the afterworld in a quest that raises questions about saving the Earth and possibly bringing his wife back to life.
