Judgment Fire

Tempe Crabtree, the resident deputy of Bear Creek, becomes involved in solving a murder in her mountain community, where her interest in her spiritual heritage occasionally causes tension in her marriage. After a battered wife is found dead, Tempe receives a warning from a shaman and takes part in a starlight ceremony. Her own past experiences help her uncover the killer, guiding her through the investigation.
