The Wanderers

In 1912, 13-year-old Leo embarks on a journey through the West Country, leaving behind his childhood farm and seeking new experiences, including a brief stay with gypsies before heading toward Penzance. Meanwhile, back at the estate, life continues, but changes are afoot for Lottie, who becomes more engaged with the natural world as her father’s attention shifts. The story explores themes of departure, discovery, and the inevitable passage of time as Leo and Lottie’s lives begin to diverge and, perhaps, eventually converge again.
