Heart of the Grass Tree

Following the unexpected death of her grandmother Nell, Pearl, her mother Diana, and sister Lucy return to Kangaroo Island to grieve and reflect. As each woman processes their loss, Pearl uncovers her grandmother’s secrets through her stories, poems, and paintings, forging a connection to the island's early history and its indigenous people.
