On the fractured world of Urdezha, Wendal Finn returns to his home city of Old Castle, possessed by an ancient vengeful spirit called Sycamore, which begins to turn him into a serial killer. Trapped in a dead body and manipulated by powerful magicians who harness him as an assassin, Wendal struggles to uncover the truths behind his wife’s death and the city’s dark secrets.
