PAPPY MOSES' PEANUT PLANTATION

Near the end of the civil war, Moses Brown, a Black man, is the true owner of the Bush Plantation through inheritance, while his white son-in-law, Josh, manages it for appearances. Their shared goal is to use the plantation’s earnings to reunite and free family members, planning a northern escape. However, their efforts are threatened when other landowners become aware of their plans and pursue them, risking the loss of the plantation and the family they seek to free.
