The Great Contagion is an epic fantasy told from a cat's perspective, centering on Merliss, a centuries-old spirit trapped in a cat's body, who has long assisted a community of cunning folk. When a deadly sickness threatens their lives and disturbs the peace, Merliss’s past shamanic knowledge and experience may hold the key to a cure, but new malevolent creatures and human ignorance pose additional threats. This prequel to Cat Sidhe explores themes of magic, survival, and the dangers of fear and scapegoating within a richly woven narrative.
