Sleight of Hand

Set against the backdrop of October 1929 and the impending stock market crash, private detective Cyrus Skeen, a wealthy and respected figure in San Francisco society, finds himself drawn into a mysterious investigation involving political intrigue and strange occurrences. Though he declines a political position offer, Skeen's curiosity is piqued by unsettling events related to a new political party and the death of a public defender, leading him to uncover clues that eventually connect back to Wisconsin.
