Valley of Allende is a historic settlement in the Mexican kingdom of Chihuahua, situated south of the state and serving as the head of the municipality of Allende. The nearby old town, located along the river, has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since August 1, 2010, as part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro. Founded in 1563 under the name Valle de San Bartolome, it is recognized as one of the oldest cities in Mexico, followed by Santa Barbara.
