Gothick

Set in 1812, this story follows 14-year-old Jane, known as Suri, who is sent from India to England after her father’s death. Her arrival takes a dramatic turn when she's kidnapped by her grandmother over her inheritance, leading her to escape and become entangled with anti-British freedom-fighters from her homeland of Punjab. As her loyalties are tested, Suri navigates complex questions about identity, nationality, and belonging in a turbulent historical period.
