Tom, Karl, and Baz, childhood friends from Dublin, reunite after Tom's traumatic experience as a war correspondent in Sarajevo leaves him deeply troubled. Determined to help, they embark on a journey across California to find an experimental clinic, confronting not only Tom's past but also their own histories and the changes they've undergone since their youth.
