Tiger Hills is a multi-generational story set in 19th-century Coorg, India, revolving around the life of Devi, a special child, and her close relationships with two young men—Muthi, a hero who has slain a tiger, and Devanna, her childhood friend and aspiring doctor. As Devi's feelings and circumstances evolve, the narrative explores themes of love, loyalty, and the far-reaching impact of tragedy on a close-knit community. The novel was long-listed for the 2010 Man Asian Literary Prize.
