After spinster Nettie Soards goes missing and is later found dead, along with an unidentified man nearby, her death is officially ruled accidental, but newspaper reports challenge this conclusion. Outraged, Maisy Malone and her friend Mabel Normand team up to uncover the truth, with the help of film star Roscoe Arbuckle and a group of dedicated law enforcement officers. Together, they investigate the case, examining evidence and footage to uncover clues that might reveal the real story behind the deaths.
