Dr. Kate Mangold has spent years working to save the legendary man-eating j’ba fofi spiders by relocating them to the isolated, haunted forest of Mourners’ Woods to let them thrive. However, her successful experiment has turned dangerous as the spiders have overrun the area, threatening native wildlife and the safety of trespassers. Joined by guide Olivia “Oblivious” Tack, Kate faces a tense struggle to escape and consider whether her efforts to save one species might come at a devastating cost to the ecosystem.
