A Minor

This novel follows teenage piano prodigy Clive Serkin as he prepares for the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow with the mentorship of celebrated pianist Clare Cardiff. Their evolving relationship is tested when Clare is diagnosed with early-onset dementia and is taken away by her estranged husband for medical testing. Facing the challenge of performing without Clare, Clive must confront whether their shared music experience is enough to sustain their bond or if he is destined to pursue his career solo.
