The Play's the Thing

Upon returning from Muscovy, Kit Alvarez faces a setback when her position at St. Thomas' hospital is reassigned, leading her to work as a copyist for James Burbage's company to make ends meet. As tensions rise within the theatrical world, a series of murders, attacks, and thefts involving important plays by William Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe threaten to unravel the safety and integrity of the players. The story explores whether these events stem from mere rivalry or are part of a deeper, more dangerous conspiracy.
