Corrupt Bodies

Set in 1985, this memoir offers a gripping and eye-opening look into the world of murder mortuaries and corruption in Southwark, where Peter Everett rose from assistant to Superintendent of the UK’s busiest morgue. Against the backdrop of pre-DNA forensic work, Everett shares his experiences working with pathologists, Scotland Yard’s Murder Squad, and tackling a serial killer, all while navigating a landscape riddled with theft, bribery, and illicit dealings.
