The Shivering Turn

In a 1974 Oxford setting, private investigator Jennie Redhead is approached by Mary Corbet, a woman convinced her daughter has been murdered, despite skepticism from others. Out of compassion, Jennie agrees to investigate, guided by a mysterious fragment of a 17th-century poem found in the victim's room. Her inquiries uncover a hidden world beneath Oxford's historic surface, revealing layers of privilege, violence, and excess.
