Anna Kelly discovers that her new guardians are witches and gets involved in helping them with their spells. Isolated in their unusual house, she spends her time on potion-making activities alongside her cat, Charlie. When she finds an old, sinister spell book in the cellar, she considers whether she can use its magic to her advantage.
