The Globalisation of God

This book explores the roots and effects of a global religious and cultural shift that began in the 4th century CE with the rise of monotheism, particularly through Christianity and Islam, leading to the widespread loss of plurality and diversity in both nature and human culture. It examines how the centralization of a singular deity—depicted as male, heavenly, and authoritative—has influenced societal values, fostering intolerance and diminishing the sacredness of nature. Using the history of Celtic Christianity as a case study, the narrative illustrates how globalizing dominant religious beliefs have historically suppressed alternative voices and traditions.
