Tidebound

Marine biologist Naia Ohta relocates to a small Hawaiian island to study octopuses and escape her past, only to discover an ancient, formidable creature beneath the ocean trench that seems to be watching her. This mysterious being has a fierce history with humans and is revealed through strange gifts and signs that challenge Naia’s understanding of the ocean’s depths. As a drilling company threatens the environment she’s come to love, Naia must decide whether to defend the creature and the trench or pursue her scientific career.
