The Fire Seer

Taya, a fire seer in the Coalition of Mages, travels to Hrappa to hunt a rogue mage known as the "jackal." She is unexpectedly paired with Mandir, her former nemesis and now her bodyguard, whose past bullying and unspoken feelings complicate their mission. As they work together to uncover the murderer, both must confront their pasts and the possibility of forgiveness, all while staying ahead of danger.
