The Scourge

Seventeen-year-old Fennel, a Sightless Groundling, knows her forest home intimately despite never having seen it. When she is tasked with braving the dangerous Scourge to bring water to her people, she is accompanied by Peree, a boy from the rival Lofty tribe, whose kindness challenges her perceptions. As they face looming threats and uncover secrets that threaten their world, Fennel must navigate difficult choices about trust, loyalty, and love in a complex and mysterious landscape.
