Crossing the Vaal

Set amidst the tumult of South Africa's Second War, this story follows Theo, an English sugar plantation owner, and Lizzie, a Dutch orphan girl, who find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict due to their affiliations and commitments. As tensions rise and loyalties are tested, Theo must navigate complex political and personal challenges, with the future uncertain when he crosses the Vaal River.
